Division Manager / General Manager – 2 Leadership Opportunities (Underground Utilities / Electrical Infrastructure) Charlotte / North Carolina $200,000 + Sign-on Bonus + Exceptional Six-Figure Bonus Potential + Vehicle + Benefits We’re exclusively partnered with a growing infrastructure contractor to recruit two senior leaders: one to lead the Charlotte / North Carolina market, and one to oversee a travelling division across the Southeast. These opportunities offer the chance to take ownership of an operation, develop strong project teams and earn significant rewards linked to the division’s performance. The business specialises in underground utilities / electrical infrastructure, delivering the conduit networks and buried systems that carry power and communications cables across construction sites and developments. Its work includes duct banks, underground conduit, manholes, directional drilling, cable installation and site lighting. For an experienced construction leader ready for broader responsibility, this is an opportunity to combine your operational expertise, commercial judgement and ability to get the best from people. You’ll oversee established teams of Project Managers, Superintendents and Foremen, providing the direction, support and accountability needed to deliver successful projects. You’ll stay close to the work, strengthen client relationships and develop teams capable of operating confidently and independently. Two Roles Available Charlotte / North Carolina Division: Lead operations, project teams and client relationships within the Charlotte / North Carolina market.Southeast Travelling Division: Oversee teams across the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia, with regular project visits and regional travel. As Division Manager / General Manager, you will: Lead multiple underground utility and infrastructure projects.Coach and develop Project Managers, Superintendents and field leadership.Drive accountability, safety, quality and productivity across project teams.Visit jobsites to assess progress, support teams and resolve operational challenges.Oversee staffing, scheduling, budgets and overall project performance.Build strong relationships with clients, General Contractors and project stakeholders.Support estimating, preconstruction, takeoffs and commercial decision-making.Develop autonomous teams with clear ownership of project delivery.Help shape the division’s continued growth and operational standards. Each project has its own PM, Superintendent and Foreman. Your visits will be driven by the needs and performance of those teams, allowing you to support delivery across the region without being permanently assigned to an individual jobsite. What We’re Looking For 15+ years of progressive construction experience, with a strong background in civil, utilities, underground infrastructure or field operations.Proven leadership as a General Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, Division Manager, General Manager or similar.Experience overseeing multiple projects and developing effective project teams.Strong understanding of budgets, schedules, production and operational performance.Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.A personable, energetic leader who can coach, motivate and hold teams accountable.A collaborative, humble and commercially minded approach.For the travelling division, experience managing geographically dispersed teams and a willingness to travel regularly. Candidates from civil, utilities and infrastructure contractors are particularly encouraged to apply. Relevant industrial, mission-critical and aviation experience will also be considered.
