We are seeking a talented Java Full Stack Developer to help deliver scalable, business-critical solutions for Broker Dealer and Capital Markets clients.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering client outcomes.
You will work with multidisciplinary teams to build modern, secure, and resilient applications while contributing to a future-ready, AI-fluent engineering culture that drives meaningful business value.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that support critical business processes within Broker Dealer and Capital Markets environments.Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and delivery colleagues to translate requirements into effective outcomes.Design and develop reliable services and user experiences that meet performance, usability, and business objectives.Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards, and design reviews to drive consistency and quality.Improve application performance, resilience, maintainability, and operational efficiency.Embed security, risk awareness, and regulatory considerations throughout the software delivery lifecycle.Produce clear and maintainable technical documentation that supports long-term sustainability and knowledge sharing.Investigate and resolve production issues while contributing to continuous service improvement.Promote engineering best practices, automation, and modern software delivery approaches.Support team capability growth by sharing knowledge, embracing innovation, and leveraging AI-assisted ways of working where appropriate.
Must-Have Skills
Proven experience delivering full stack software solutions in Broker Dealer, Capital Markets, or Financial Services environments.Strong hands-on development experience using Java (8/11/17+) and Python.Experience building enterprise-grade distributed applications using microservices and API-led architectures.Strong understanding of event-driven design and messaging-based integration patterns.Experience developing modern web applications and responsive user interfaces.Expertise in software engineering best practices, object-oriented design, data structures, and concurrent programming.Strong understanding of application security, data protection, and quality engineering principles.Experience working with relational databases and data modelling concepts.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in agile, collaborative, and client-facing environments.
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate, and JPA.Experience with Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Elasticsearch.Familiarity with Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases.Experience using Maven, Gradle, and Git.Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.Experience with automated testing frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, Cypress, and Selenium.Understanding of banking regulatory compliance requirements and secure software delivery practices.
