Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a hands-on technical leader who loves turning messy, real-world problems into products people rely on, and who builds with AI coding agents as a natural part of how they work.
You'll own the communication stack that connects law firms with their clients, starting with voice and extending across fax, email, and SMS.
You'll partner closely with engineering leadership and product, guide one or two engineers, and see your work land in front of customers in weeks.
What You'll Do
Own the Voice Stack: Lead the design, build, and operation of Supio's voice capabilities.
Take a hard, high-impact problem from idea to reliable productionConnect Every Channel: Build and improve the pipelines for fax, email, and SMS, including intelligently routing inbound messages to the right case so law firms never miss what mattersTurn Requirements into Solutions: Translate ambiguous product needs into practical technical designs.
Think through how real users will interact with the system and shape what we buildLead and Elevate: Guide one or two engineers with clear direction, thoughtful code reviews, and sound engineering practices that fit a fast-moving startupBuild with AI First: Use AI coding agents and custom tooling to plan, build, review, and ship faster, and help raise the team's AI-native craftRun What You Ship: Take ownership of production quality through monitoring, on-call, and continuous improvement of the systems you build
Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience, including building and shipping user-facing products in a hands-on capacityEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceTechnical Skills: Full stack engineering with strong backend depth, and experience building distributed systems that run across multiple serversAI Application Experience: Hands-on experience building applications with AI agents or LLMs, from design through productionAI-Native Engineering: Demonstrated, day-to-day fluency building with AI coding agents, such as planning with agents, reviewing their output, and creating custom skills or toolingEngineering Fundamentals: Strong system design, testing, and code review practices, with a practical sense of which engineering principles matter most at a startup's scaleProduct Judgment: Sound instincts for user experience, and the ability to turn half-formed product requirements into well-scoped technical solutionsLeadership: Experience guiding and mentoring other engineers while remaining a strong individual contributorOwnership and Communication: Comfort operating autonomously, communicating clearly with technical and non-technical teammates, and following through on hard problems

Compensation

Base Salary by Location
Seattle, WA: $220,000 – $280,000 annually
Actual compensation may vary outside of these ranges based on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
