The role will be responsible for delivering software enhancements, automation solutions, system integrations, and platform capabilities across the development lifecycle, from requirements and design through deployment and operational support.
The successful candidate will leverage modern software engineering practices, DevOps methodologies, and AI-assisted development tools to improve platform capabilities, delivery velocity, and operational efficiency.
Key skills & Experience
Strong software development experience using Python, Perl, Golang, Java, Bash, or equivalent languages.Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab, branching strategies, pull requests, and code review processes.Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile delivery, DevOps practices, and software engineering principles.Experience troubleshooting production applications, integrations, APIs, and distributed systems.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, Azure AI, or similar technologies.Experience developing, integrating, or consuming AI/ML services and APIs is desirable.Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, REST APIs, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, and system integration patterns.Experience working with SQL and MySQL database administration, including database management, performance tuning, query optimization, backup, and troubleshooting
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software components, APIs, integrations, and automation solutions supporting ACS platforms and associated systems.
Analyse device data models, vendor implementation requirements, and integration specifications to develop scalable software solutions.Develop software tools and automation frameworks to support provisioning, diagnostics, firmware management, monitoring, and operational workflows.
Configure, develop, and test ACS provisioning workflows, device management transactions, and orchestration processes.Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using Git-based development workflows and DevOps best practices.
Perform code reviews, maintain source control repositories, and manage software releases through Git and automated deployment platforms.Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and automated test suites covering functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.Validate TR-069 provisioning and device-management transactions and TR-143 performance testing workflows.Support firmware upgrade, rollback, whitelist, and manifest-based deployment processes across fixed and mobile device ecosystems.Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, integration issues, production incidents, deployment failures, and platform performance problems.Analyse logs, metrics, and telemetry data to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions and platform improvements.Utilise AI-assisted development tools and Generative AI technologies to accelerate software development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and operational efficiency.
Evaluate and integrate AI-powered capabilities, automation solutions, and intelligent workflows into ACS and supporting platforms where appropriate.
