About The Role
We are seeking a talented mid-level web developer to join our team at Minuteman Press.
In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing PHP-based web applications that support our franchise operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, with hands-on experience in PHP, MariaDB, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient web solutions.
This is an in-person position based in Farmingdale, NY, requiring daily attendance at our office from Monday through Friday.
Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
Your contributions will directly impact the functionality and reliability of our internal and customer-facing systems, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess between 5 to 7 years of professional web development experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of the LAMP/LEMP stack.
A strong command of front-end fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, is essential.
Experience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs will be highly valued, along with proficiency in Git and modern source control workflows.
The candidate should have a proven track record of owning features from initial specifications through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial, as you will need to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
While a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Additional skills such as NodeJS development, integration of web services with desktop applications, or experience within print, e-commerce, or franchise systems will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
