Summary Act as Java Developer responsible for the enhancement and maintenance of one or more Alpha/Charles River Development modules or components of an agile scrum team. Responsibilities Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions within Charles River’s business and technical problem domains including modifications to core frameworks and other primary facilities critical to system operationCollaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create simple and sustainable software solutions for complex problemsDirect problem solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve software technical issuesDevelop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications and projects using Java and being open to learn and utilize needed languagesProvide informed guidance and critical analysis of proposed changes during code reviewsProvide troubleshooting on large, mission critical client implementationsEngage in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology, including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectivesPlan and coordinate cross-team activities groups to complete assignmentsDemonstrate more independence of design and developmentMentor and guide Junior Engineers Qualifications Recommended Education: B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical course of study required. MS degree strongly preferred. What We Are Looking For At least 5 years of experience with full lifecycle of project development for Java applications from similar industryStrong skills in core Java, server-side Java technologies, and Spring frameworks using Agile methodologies and SQL databaseExperience in backend technologies like Kafka, Microservices Nice To have Experience / understanding of Kubernetes and experience with a cloud platform: Azure, etc.Experience with object-oriented programming Relational databases (RDBMS), scripting and new/advanced programming languagesExperience Frontend technologies like ReactExperience in financial services developing solutions for Wealth Management Minimum Salary zł182 004 Annual The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
