We challenge the status quo to solve problems and find smarter solutions Build the best technology in-house: we use new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting The Role We’re looking for a motivated, experienced Financial Crimes Program Manager to be a key contributor for our BSA/AML program. You’ll be responsible for the daily execution of the FinCrime compliance framework for our U.S. personal loans and cards products as both products scale. You will investigate suspected financial crime and ensure strict adherence to the Program Policy across our bank-partnership model. This is a critical operational role within the compliance team. You will be responsible for ensuring we protect the financial system from money laundering and terrorist financing through diligent alert disposition, maintenance of accurate case records, and effective and timely escalation. What You’ll Be DoingExecute the BSA/AML Program Execute day-to-day AML, BSA, KYC/CIP, and OFAC controls and assist in maintaining program documentation to ensure the business remains compliant. Keep policies, procedures, and program documentation current; Conduct periodic BSA/AML risk assessments; Enhance the program as products evolve to stay aligned with contractual and regulatory requirements. Execute reporting responsibilities: Own periodic and ad hoc BSA/AML reporting across partner bank and internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and on-time delivery. Partner Bank: 314(a) and OFAC reporting & required periodic reporting Internal: Periodic senior leadership reporting and quarterly Board report on program performance, key risk indicators, escalations, and emerging risks Support audit and testing requests related to FinCrime: Respond to audit & exam requests, testing and monitoring, and bank partner requests; be a cooperative and responsive teammate to support overall compliance functionality Investigate and Document Activity: Investigate alerts & escalations related to unusual activity; prepare internal Unusual Activity Reports (UARs) for escalation to the BSA Officer for final review. Perform Screening & Monitoring: Perform sanctions-screening and AML transaction-monitoring alerts; execute assigned screening and information-sharing searches. Maintain Compliance Records: Ensure all investigative findings and due diligence records are maintained in accordance with the Program’s record retention requirements. Identify areas of Improvement: bring an attitude of opportunity - issue spot and execute areas for automation to ensure the financial crimes program scales with company growth Operational Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Product and Engineering teams to provide operational support for the integration and testing of onboarding and transaction monitoring tools. Flex into front-line queues - support the team during backlog clearance and peak volume. What We’re Looking For EssentialU.S. Regulatory Expertise: Deep knowledge of the U.S. rules-based regulatory scheme, specifically BSA, AML, KYC/CIP, and OFAC. (Familiarity with FCPA/ABC is a significant plus). Compliance Function Experience: Proven experience in a compliance function, particularly in alert disposition, case management, and investigative workflows. Analytical Mindset: You are comfortable diving into data to investigate alerts and identify suspicious patterns. You are detail-oriented in documenting your investigative findings. Bias for Action: You have a genuine sense of curiosity and urgency with the ability to navigate the ambiguity of a fast-growing FinTech and make smart, risk-based decisions. Strong Communication: Ability to hold your own with bank partners and regulators, while also influencing internal stakeholders in Product and Ops. DesirableProduct Specificity: Experience in both U.S. Personal Loans (pre-origination focus) and Credit Cards (post-origination transaction monitoring). Tool Proficiency: Experience with Alloy, ComplyAdvantage, Marqeta, Preset, Snowflake or Redash a plus.
