Job Summary To support our rapid growth, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our CloudOps team in Milan, Italy. You will play a key role in building and evolving our cloud-native platform on Azure, based on containers, Kubernetes and GitOps. You will work with engineering and product teams to design scalable infrastructure, automate every step from code to production, and ensure reliability, security and performance of our applications. We are looking for someone with solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS), containers and Infrastructure as Code, who treats Git as the single source of truth for both applications and infrastructure. We love people with a passion for technology and a natural curiosity for learning new skills. Responsibilities Design, deploy and operate Kubernetes environments, in particular Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS): cluster lifecycle, upgrades, networking, autoscaling, security and workload management. Implement and maintain GitOps workflows (e.g. Argo CD or Flux), using Git as the source of truth for declarative infrastructure and application configuration. Containerize applications with Docker and define standards for building, scanning and publishing images (e.g. Azure Container Registry). Develop and maintain Helm charts to package and release applications consistently across environments. Build and improve CI/CD pipelines that enable fast, safe and repeatable software delivery, including automated testing and security checks. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), with versioned, reusable modules. Design and manage cloud infrastructure and services on Azure, in collaboration with software engineering teams, following best practices for scalability, performance and security. Implement observability (metrics, logs, alerting) and monitor performance, resource utilization and cost-efficiency. Apply security controls and best practices (RBAC, secrets management, network policies, image and supply-chain security) to ensure data protection and compliance. Define and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for platform and stateful services. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues, ensuring high availability and reliability. Manage Linux and Windows servers where required, progressively moving workloads towards automated and containerized models. Stay up to date with Azure and cloud-native ecosystem evolutions, recommending and implementing improvements. Requirements 3+ years of experience managing cloud environments, with Azure preferred. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production, preferably AKS. Solid knowledge of Git and version control workflows (branching strategies, pull requests, code review), and experience with GitOps practices. Proficiency with Docker and containerization best practices. Experience with Helm for packaging and deploying applications. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Experience building CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI). Good scripting skills, in particular PowerShell (Bash or Python is a plus). Solid understanding of networking concepts, cloud security and best practices for cloud-native architectures. Working knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration. Good knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Positive attitude, teamwork spirit and excellent communication skills. Proficient in English: you read and write proficiently and speak at a conversational level. Nice-to-have Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD) or Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305). Experience with GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux) and Kustomize. Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor). DevSecOps experience (image scanning, policy as code, e.g. Kyverno/OPA, Azure Policy). Experience managing RabbitMQ clusters. Experience managing Redis. Coreview Values Ownership Mindset: Take ownership. Drive outcomes.
