LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Azure Developer (API, APIM & Functions) for a 2-year term full-time position with its ottawa based customer.
Key Tasks
Build and modernize internal and external APIs using ASP.NET Core Web API and C#/.NETConvert BizTalk web services and orchestrations into RESTful APIs and supporting integration componentsDevelop Azure Functions using the .NET isolated worker model for complex transformations, validation, enrichment and reusable business logicConfigure APIM products, subscriptions, policies, versioning, revisions, diagnostics and security controlsImplement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT validation, managed identity and certificate-based authenticationSecure application secrets and configuration using Azure Key Vault and Azure App ConfigurationTroubleshoot complex incidents affecting APIs, Functions and supporting Azure servicesDiagnose hybrid connectivity issues involving virtual networks, firewalls, routing and name resolutionDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, Terraform or ARM templatesBuild and support Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for automated builds, testing and deploymentMonitor availability, performance and failures using Application Insights, Azure Monitor and Log AnalyticsWrite unit and component tests and collaborate with QA on integration, regression and performance testingMaintain API specifications, architecture diagrams, deployment documentation and operational runbooks
Key Qualifications
6–10 years of .NET development experience with strong proficiency in ASP.NET Core Web API and C#3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure API Management and Azure FunctionsDemonstrated experience migrating to Azure Integration Services
Qualifications
3+ years of Azure engineering experience covering deployment, troubleshooting and operational supportExperience implementing identity and security solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT validation and managed identitiesProficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or TerraformExperience building and maintaining Azure DevOps YAML pipelinesStrong understanding of API security, lifecycle management and enterprise integration patternsExperience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises environments including VNet, firewall and routingProficiency in PowerShell, Python or Bash scriptingExperience with Docker, Azure Container Registry and AKSFamiliarity with SQL Server, Azure SQL and T-SQLAzure developer or administrator certification is an assetBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Compensation
