Radio-Canada’s multimedia station in Sherbrooke is seeking a Senior Manager, Content Development and Production.
Reporting to and working collaboratively with regional leadership, you will continuously evolve digital, radio and television production workflows while helping the station thrive in a highly competitive environment.
Your Role
In this role, you will plan, direct and lead technical production operations and personnel.
You will evaluate and recommend equipment acquisitions and capital projects to optimize production quality and maximize the efficiency of human, technical and financial resources.
Additionally, you will strive to meet production needs while delivering exceptional service to all clients.
The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of production methods and technology, along with proven experience managing staff in media production.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate overall strategic objectives and set clear departmental business priorities.
Establish action plans to achieve these objectives and track progress with your teams.Direct and oversee production and operational workflows across multiple platforms to ensure allocated resources meet business needs and objectives for the Estrie, Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec regions.Identify training needs and arrange professional development for team members.
Contribute to performance management processes and proactively recommend ways to support employee performance improvement.Represent the station on local, regional and national committees as requested, and perform other duties as assigned.Fulfil property management responsibilities in co-ordination with our service provider.
You will be required to be on call during evenings and weekends to respond to after-hours emergencies.
This role requires full-time on-site presence.
What You Bring
University degree or college diploma in a media-related field.Minimum five (5) years’ experience managing or supervising staff in a unionized environment, as well as managing technical equipment for media production.Strong critical thinking skills, an open mindset and leadership courage.Sound judgment to make critical, time-sensitive decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven change management capabilities.Relevant experience managing technical and financial resources.In-depth knowledge of media production infrastructure.A solid grasp of communication principles and media dynamics.Proven ability to understand client business needs and deliver innovative solutions to achieve technical goals.Strong ability to rally, motivate and co-ordinate teams.English/French bilingualism (spoken and written) is an asset.
