Salary commensurate with experience* Job Title: Software Developer Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid) Duration: 3 Years (with potential for extension) W2 Hourly Rate: $55-$70/hour Application Deadline: 10/13 Overview: We are seeking a Software Developer who will support our NYS client on the NYSED OP Modernization Implementation. The Developer will support application development and maintenance activities by designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting software solutions that meet functional and technical requirements. Duties: • Design, develop, test, and deploy web-based and desktop applications. • Collaborate with project managers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand business needs. • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code. • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure software quality. • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. • Create and maintain technical documentation. • Follow established software development life cycle (SDLC) practices and guidelines. • Support production deployments and resolve post-deployment issues. Mandatory Qualifications: • Strong proficiency in one or more of the following: .NET (C#), ASP.NET MVC/WebForms, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. • Experience with SQL Server or Oracle, including writing queries and stored procedures. • Experience with version control systems such as Git or TFS. • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
