Description

Position: Embedded Software Engineer Locations: North Reading, MA OR Sunnyvale, CA (5 days/week Onsite) Duration: 1-Year Plus Contract Work Authorization: Open to all visa types Role Overview & Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and maintain high-performance software solutions in C and C++ for Linux-based and embedded system test platforms. • Build software that interfaces directly with hardware and operating system components while providing robust APIs to higher-level applications. • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize complex hardware/software integration issues across board-level and system-level components. • Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, software teams, and product managers to deliver solutions for advanced semiconductor test systems. • Utilize modern Agile software practices including sprint planning, bug tracking, code reviews, and retrospectives. • Leverage Python scripting for build automation, test execution, and system tooling. Required Qualifications & Skills: • Strong hands-on experience in C and C++ development for embedded and system-level applications. • Proven track record debugging complex hardware/software integration challenges and multithreaded software. • Hands-on experience with embedded communication protocols and hardware buses (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, PCIe). • Experience working in Agile software development teams. • Strong communication, technical analysis, and problem-solving skills. • Availability to work 5 days/week onsite in North Reading, MA or Sunnyvale, CA. Preferred Qualifications: • Python scripting experience for test automation and tooling. • Experience in semiconductor test, measurement instrumentation, or industrial automation domains.
