Weitz & Luxenberg is a nationally prominent plaintiff’s law firm headquartered in New York City. We are seeking a Software Developer who will be part of the development team for our proprietary Case Management system and provide support to legal staff. This role is responsible for building new features and integrations and plays a critical part in ensuring that our primary technology platform meets the needs of the different litigation teams and is available, secure, and efficient in support of legal operations. The position requires good communication skills and comfort working directly with end users in an in-office legal environment. Summary: We are seeking a mid-level developer who has experience with SQL, .Net, and Python.This position will be responsible for developing and customizing the application platform, user defined fields, report generation, and API integration with outside law firms and medical record services.The person in this position will work closely with various stakeholders to design and implement solutions that enhance our CMS and support our legal business processes. Key Responsibilities: Configure fields and layouts, record types, and other settings to optimize user experience.Own custom app integration and editing of existing scripts and code.Perform system administration tasks, including security settings, data management, and backups.Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to functionality and performance.Provide training and support to end-users.Participate in project meetings and code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.5+ years of hands-on development experience; strong background in SQL, .Net, and PythonSolid understanding of security models, including roles, profiles, and permission sets.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a small team environment.Professional demeanor and comfortable supporting executives and professional staff.Always follow firm IT policies and security procedures.Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm data.Maintain accurate documentation of issues, fixes, and standard procedures.Contribute to knowledge base and user guides.Capability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
