Our client, a software vendor in the security space, is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to design, build and run high-volume data services. This is an end-to-end ownership role: you’ll shape new features alongside users, ship them in short iterations, and keep them running reliably in production. What you’ll do Design and build services that process and store large volumes of data, choosing the right storage technology for each jobMaintain and improve existing services for performance, stability and data integrityTroubleshoot production issues across code, infrastructure and databasesWrite clean, well-tested, maintainable code within a peer-review cultureWork closely with cross-functional teams, customers and end users What you’ll bring 5+ years’ professional software development, with Java (8+) as your primary languageSolid experience across relational (SQL) and NoSQL databasesProven track record building distributed, microservice-based and event-driven systemsStrong grasp of architecture, design patterns and trade-offsHands-on Docker, Linux and command-line proficiencyObservability experience with Prometheus and GrafanaUnderstanding of Mechanical Sympathy and working knowledge of low-level network programming Nice to have: SIP/RTP protocol experience (highly desirable); Spring Boot; Kafka, RabbitMQ, NSQ or ActiveMQ; MongoDB and Elasticsearch; Spark, Iceberg or data warehouse design; S3-style object storage; Ansible and Kubernetes; Python.
