Senior Mobile Software Engineer Position: Senior Mobile Software Engineer Type: Contractor (~15 hours/week) Compensation: $50–$100/hour Location: Remote About the Opportunity We are seeking experienced Senior Mobile Software Engineers to contribute to a project focused on advancing next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will apply your mobile development expertise to create challenging software engineering environments that evaluate and improve AI capabilities in real-world coding scenarios. Your work will involve designing complex mobile engineering tasks, building reproducible development environments, and creating reference solutions that help train AI models to solve advanced software engineering problems. No prior AI experience is required. Your mobile development expertise is what matters. Responsibilities Design realistic and challenging mobile software engineering tasks that reflect real-world development scenarios.Create coding challenges involving bug fixing, feature development, code refactoring, architecture improvements, and performance optimization.Build reproducible development environments that allow consistent evaluation of solutions.Develop deterministic validation and testing frameworks to verify task completion accurately.Create tasks focused on mobile application architecture, state management, lifecycle handling, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.Develop challenges using technologies aligned with your expertise, including Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Dart.Produce high-quality reference solutions that demonstrate effective approaches to solving each task.Document problem requirements, expected behaviors, evaluation criteria, and solution methodologies.Review and refine tasks to ensure clarity, reproducibility, and technical rigor.Required Qualifications Strong professional experience in mobile software development.Expertise in at least one of the following areas:iOS development using Swift, SwiftUI, or UIKit.Android development using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, or the Android View system.Cross-platform development using Flutter, React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Dart.Deep understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities for complex mobile applications.Experience with state management, asynchronous programming, and application lifecycle management.Ability to build maintainable, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications.Strong written communication and technical documentation skills.Ability to work independently in a remote environment.Preferred Qualifications Experience designing technical assessments, coding challenges, or engineering evaluations.Strong knowledge of software testing, validation frameworks, and automated quality assurance.Experience improving application performance, scalability, and reliability.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and mobile deployment workflows.Experience contributing to open-source projects or maintaining production-scale mobile applications.Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and clean code principles.Interest in AI-assisted development tools or AI-related engineering projects.Compensation & Engagement Compensation ranges from $50–$100/hour.This is a remote contractor opportunity with an expected commitment of approximately 15 hours per week.Compensation is output-based and tied to successfully completed tasks that meet project requirements.Minimum weekly submission requirements may apply.Flexible work schedule with fully remote participation.Application Process Submit your application and relevant mobile development experience.Complete any required technical screening or assessment.Participate in project onboarding if selected.Begin creating mobile engineering tasks, environments, and reference solutions.
