This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated technology supporting automated trading and large-scale quantitative research across global financial markets. 🚀 The OpportunityYou'll work closely with experienced engineers, researchers and systems teams to solve technically challenging problems where performance, scalability, reliability and correctness truly matter. Your work may include: Developing high-performance Java systemsBuilding and improving distributed systems and research infrastructureWorking with large-scale storage and networking environmentsOptimising latency, throughput and system performanceDiagnosing complex performance and reliability issuesDesigning scalable infrastructure for quantitative researchImproving communication between distributed componentsBuilding monitoring and proactive detection capabilitiesEvaluating new technologies and architectural approachesWorking directly with researchers to design effective technical solutionsSupporting infrastructure behind a 24-hour automated trading platform 🧠 What They're Looking ForThe team is looking for exceptional software engineers, not candidates who simply match a checklist. You should have: Strong software engineering and computer-science fundamentalsExcellent algorithmic and problem-solving skillsExceptional Java programming abilityExperience with or strong understanding of distributed systems, networking and/or storageThe ability to reason across different levels of abstractionGenuine curiosity about how complex systems workExperience building scalable, maintainable and thoroughly tested softwareThe ability to work autonomously while collaborating with highly capable teamsA low-ego mindset and a genuine focus on finding the right answer Experience with Linux, distributed computing, networking, storage systems or performance engineering is highly valuable.
