As an Engineering Manager at Trevolution, you will combine people leadership, technical leadership, and product thinking. You will lead the engineering team through the modernization of a large-scale, business-critical platform, while ensuring reliable delivery and continuous improvements in scalability, performance, and engineering practices. A key part of the role is driving an AI-first approach to software engineering. We are looking for a hands-on and proactive leader who identifies opportunities, takes initiative, makes pragmatic technical decisions, and turns ideas into measurable results. You should be comfortable getting into the details when needed, challenging existing approaches, and actively driving meaningful improvements. Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team, foster ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Define and execute the team's technical strategy and roadmap in alignment with product and business objectives.Provide technical leadership across architecture, system design, scalability, performance, and reliability.Lead the modernization of a large-scale platform, including refactoring, architectural improvements, and reducing technical debt.Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance long-term architecture with business priorities and delivery needs.Partner closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Design, and other technical teams to ensure effective collaboration and delivery.Support planning, prioritization, and delivery of complex technical initiatives, managing dependencies, risks, and priorities.Establish and maintain engineering standards, development practices, and technical quality standards.Drive improvements in platform reliability, observability, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management.Connect engineering decisions to measurable metrics.Drive an AI-first engineering culture, embedding AI into the software development lifecycle and identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and delivery. Requirements: Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, Team Lead, or similar technical leadership role.Experience leading, mentoring, and developing software engineering teams.Strong people's management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, performance, and reliability.Experience with relational databases, large datasets, REST APIs, asynchronous communication, queues, and integrations.Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud environments.Experience troubleshooting and supporting production systems.Technical credibility and the ability to understand, challenge, and lead technical decisions across a large and evolving legacy technology landscape.Comfortable leading engineers in an environment where AI is a fundamental part of the software development lifecycle.Ability to connect technical decisions to business impact and drive change.Curiosity and willingness to continuously explore emerging AI engineering tools and practices.
