About The Role We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Front-End Engineer to join our Product and Technology department. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the consumer-facing web applications that enable families to explore and understand their homeownership options with Cedar. You will work closely with design, product, and engineering teams to translate complex financial logic into intuitive, accessible user interfaces. This position offers ownership from day one, allowing you to ship features directly to customers and see the tangible impact of your work. Qualifications Approximately 3+ years of experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript.Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS, with an emphasis on responsive design for mobile and desktop platforms.Experience working with APIs, including REST and GraphQL.Proficiency in writing and maintaining tests as part of the development process.Interest in and enthusiasm for AI tooling and automation in development workflows.Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.Bonus: Experience with Figma or other design tools, and familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG). Responsibilities Build and own the consumer-facing web application using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.Leverage AI tools to accelerate development and contribute to their ongoing improvement.Translate complex financial logic into clear, trustworthy, and user-friendly screens.Collaborate closely with design and product teams from initial concept through deployment.Own features end-to-end, from development to release, and monitor their performance post-launch.Implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure reliability and quality.Conduct thorough code reviews, chase bugs to their root cause, and maintain high coding standards.Continuously seek opportunities to improve the user experience and application performance.
