About the Role: We are looking for an engineer who is ready to take ownership of project delivery, develop client relationships and contribute to some of the mining and resources sector's most interesting and technically challenging projects. Our Perth team is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical/Tailings/Dams Engineer on a permanent full-time basis. Key Responsibilities and Activities Include: As a Senior Geotechnical/Tailings/Dams Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering challenging mining, tailings, water and civil infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally. Working closely with Subject Matter Experts and multidisciplinary teams, you will: Provide recognised technical leadership within own discipline.Lead the planning, execution and review of complex engineering or scientific investigations, analysis, design and reporting.Provide specialist technical advice to project teams and clients.Review and approve technical work.Resolve complex technical issues through sound professional judgement and innovative thinking.Lead the delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects or major technical workstreams.Manage project scope, programme, quality and commercial performance within delegated authority.Coordinate project teams to deliver successful client outcomes.Identify, assess and manage project risks.Support Project Directors and Associates in delivering strategic projects.Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients through consistent technical excellence and professional service.Act as a key technical adviser on assigned projects.Support proposal preparation, client presentations and business development activities.Coordinate and mentor project teams, including undergraduates and experienced staff.Demonstrate strong commercial awareness throughout project delivery.Manage project budgets, utilisation and profitability within delegated authority.Contribute to proposal preparation, fee estimation and project planning. Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements Include: You are an experienced engineer who enjoys combining technical work, client interaction and project leadership. You are motivated by solving complex problems, developing others and contributing to the growth of a high-performing team. You are motivated by delivering high-quality outcomes and continuing to grow your technical and project management capabilities. To be successful, you'll bring: Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and eligibility for professional registration.Civil, geotechnical or environmental engineer/scientist with 7+ years' industry experience including experience supporting or delivering tailings projects.Demonstrated experience managing and delivering tailings and mining infrastructure projects, including responsibility for technical quality, project delivery and client outcomes.Strong project management skills, including management of scope, budget, schedule and resources.Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor junior staff.Strong technical review, report writing and quality assurance capability.Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients, stakeholders and project teams.A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong commercial awareness.Current Australian driver’s licence.A White Card (desired, not essential).
