Summary ✨ AI‑Generated

A highly successful technology-driven organization is seeking exceptional senior C++ engineers to build performance-critical systems where latency, throughput, concurrency, memory efficiency and CPU performance are essential. The work combines real-time and large-scale systems engineering and rewards deep understanding of what happens beneath software abstractions. Prior trading or financial-services experience is not required; strong backgrounds in infrastructure, networking, databases, compilers, operating systems, semiconductors or autonomous systems are relevant.

Highlights

Exceptionally high total compensation of $500K–$1.5M depending on experience, combined with technically demanding work on performance-critical systems. Candidates can come from a wide range of high-performance engineering backgrounds and do not need prior trading or financial-services experience.

Description

Senior C++ Engineer | High-Performance Trading Systems Total Compensation (base salary + bonus) - $500k-$1.5m (dependent on experience level) What happens when milliseconds aren't fast enough? We are working with a highly successful technology-driven firm that's looking for exceptional C++ engineers to build some of its most performance-critical systems. You do not need any previous trading or financial services experience. In fact, we're particularly interested in engineers from big tech, infrastructure, networking, databases, compilers, operating systems, semiconductors, autonomous systems and other environments where software performance really matters. This is an opportunity to work on engineering problems where understanding what is happening beneath the abstraction genuinely makes a difference. You'll work on complex C++ systems where latency, throughput, concurrency, memory efficiency and CPU performance are critical. The environment combines real-time systems with large-scale compute, simulation and highly performance-sensitive production infrastructure. We're particularly interested in engineers who have gone deep in areas such as: • Modern C++ and systems programming • Performance optimisation and profiling • Multithreading, concurrency and lock-free programming • CPU architecture, caching and memory management • Networking and high-throughput distributed systems • Compilers, runtimes or operating systems • Low-level Linux engineering • HPC or other compute-intensive systems You don't need to tick every box. The common thread we're looking for is someone who enjoys understanding why software is slow and figuring out how to make it dramatically faster. You'll be joining an engineering-led environment with significant technical autonomy, sophisticated infrastructure and problems where improvements at the software and hardware level can have an immediate, measurable impact. The role can be based in Austin, TX or NYC with relocation & visa support available and a highly competitive compensation package. If you've spent your career making complex software faster, more efficient or more scalable and you're interested in applying that experience to a completely different set of problems, I'd love to speak.
