About The Role In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and cloud-native digital solutions for a leading European public sector organization. Working across the full technology stack, you will help modernize mission-critical platforms, influence architectural decisions, and build high-quality software that delivers measurable value to end users Responsibilities Design and develop modern front-end architectures using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and contemporary frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.jsBuild and maintain secure backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Node.js, or PHP technologiesCreate scalable RESTful APIs and web services while ensuring compliance with security and performance standardsImplement business-critical functionality following software engineering best practices, coding standards, and design principlesDevelop responsive, cross-browser web applications that deliver an excellent user experience across devicesIntegrate distributed systems using API gateways, Kafka, Axon Server, and event-driven architecturesOptimize application performance, database interactions, and system reliability across relational and non-relational databasesEstablish CI/CD pipelines and manage cloud deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure BicepApply security best practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, secure data handling, logging, and monitoringTroubleshoot, test, debug, and continuously improve software solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirementsProduce technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across engineering teamsCollaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end components Requirements University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a master’s level or 5 years of higher education), and minimum 10 years of IT professional experience; or University degree corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a bachelor’s level or 3 years of higher education) and minimum 12 years of IT professional experienceStrong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for enterprise web application developmentAdvanced experience with Angular, React, Vue.js, Bootstrap, Webpack, or Vite.Extensive backend development expertise using Java, Spring Boot 3.4.x, Hibernate, REST APIs, Node.js, or PHPSolid experience designing and optimizing relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle, as well as non-relational databases including MongoDBPractical expertise with Git-based development workflows and familiarity with SVN environmentsStrong understanding of cloud-native application development and operations within AWS or Azure environmentsHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions, including Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure BicepProven ability to design, build, secure, and document RESTful APIs using OpenAPI and Swagger standardsExperience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deploymentsAdvanced knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and modern identity management practicesDemonstrated expertise with Kafka, Axon Server, Elasticsearch, and distributed system architecturesExperience implementing API management solutions using WSO2 API Manager, Amazon API Gateway, Azure API Gateway, or Google ApigeeIn-depth knowledge of CSDR and its practical application within enterprise environmentsStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural, cross-functional teamsProfessional proficiency in English or French at B2 level or above SoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
