To strengthen our team in Ettlingen, we are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) – Software Testing, Demo Lab & Product Support. In this role, you will support the verification of software and firmware releases on FTIR systems, assist with demo lab operations, and contribute to product quality activities while gaining hands-on experience with scientific instruments and measurements in an international environment. Responsibilities Support product verification and validation activities for FTIR systems by performing measurements, documenting results, and reporting observed issues. Assist in validating new software and firmware releases on FTIR systems and contribute to continuous product improvement. Support the Demo Laboratory by preparing, maintaining, and organizing demonstration instruments. Coordinate and assist with the shipment and logistics of demo systems for customer evaluations, events, and internal activities. Support product managers and application specialists in collecting, documenting, and analyzing product feedback. Assist in the investigation and documentation of recurring technical issues to support root-cause analysis and continuous product improvement. Help maintain product documentation, test records, and internal support materials. Collaborate closely with Application, Product Management, R&D, Service, and Marketing teams. Qualifications Enrolled student in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical/scientific field. Strong interest in scientific instruments, software, technology, and product quality. Structured and detail-oriented way of working. Basic understanding of scientific measurements, product verification, software validation, or quality assurance is a plus. Hands-on mentality and willingness to work with laboratory instruments and hardware. Fluent in English; German is beneficial. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment. Familiarity with data analysis, scientific software, laboratory work, technical documentation, or programming is an advantage.
