About the Role As a Java Software Developer, you will work in a high-performance, multidisciplinary team to build innovative and complex software solutions for leading organizations in the Netherlands. You will work closely with colleagues and clients to develop robust applications that meet high technical standards. The role involves hands-on Java development as well as contributing to technology choices, development process improvements, and the full project lifecycle. You will use Java, Spring Boot, and modern frameworks while working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Key Responsibilities •Develop innovative and robust software solutions using Java and modern frameworks. •Build and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture. •Work closely with colleagues and clients in multidisciplinary teams. •Ensure applications meet high technical and quality standards. •Use tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Git. •Develop and maintain automated tests, including unit tests with JUnit. •Optimize application performance and troubleshoot technical issues. •Contribute to improvements in development processes and the adoption of new technologies. •Participate throughout the full lifecycle of software development projects. •Work effectively within Agile/Scrum and iterative development environments. •Adapt to changing technologies, working methods, and client requirements. •Understand client needs and contribute to solutions that address their challenges and objectives. •Contribute to a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous development. Required Qualifications •Completed HBO or WO degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field. •At least 3 years of experience as a Java Developer or Consultant. •Extensive knowledge of Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and Hibernate. •Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. •Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or other CI/CD pipelines. •Familiarity with Git and version control tools. •Knowledge of automated testing, including unit testing with JUnit. •Experience with application performance optimization and troubleshooting. •Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. •Good command of Dutch, both written and spoken. •Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams with colleagues and clients. •Ability to adapt to new technologies, working methods, and changing situations. •Ability to understand and respond to client needs. •Availability for 32–40 hours per week, with flexibility in how hours are arranged.
