Role Description As a Software Engineer at PipeBoost.AI, you will design, develop, and maintain services and APIs that power our AI automation platform.
You will work closely with product and sales stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions.
Daily responsibilities include coding, code reviews, debugging, optimizing performance, and contributing to system architecture decisions.
You will also help integrate third-party services, improve data workflows, and ensure high-quality releases through testing and documentation.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in our Surabaya office — not a freelance or remote position; the engineer is expected to work in-office daily alongside the team.
Tech Stack You will work across a backend built with Node.js/Express, using browser automation (Puppeteer) and MQTT-based messaging, with AI-generated content via OpenAI's API; and a React Native frontend targeting Android, Ios, and Web from a single codebase.
All code bases build using JavaScript, thus a belief and proficienct of JavaScript is a must.
Familiarity with MQTT pub/sub, client-side config storage, and cross-platform build tooling (Metro, CRACO/webpack, Gradle) is a plus.

Technical Foundation:
A programming competency in JavaScript, with a strong foundation in Computer Science — data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Hands-on experience in software development using modern languages and frameworks, with proficiency in back-end web development: building and maintaining APIs and working with databases.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and clean, maintainable code practices.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD workflows.
Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical partners.
Experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
