Role in Brief
We are looking for a skilled Web Developer to work on the design, development and continuous improvement of client-facing systems within the fast-moving alternative investment industry.
You will be part of an international, collaborative environment where technology plays an important role in delivering a high-quality experience to our clients.
Insights to the Role
Develop and maintain high-quality front-end web applications, with a strong focus on user experience.
Build reliable and maintainable software using modern development practices.
Contribute to our continuous integration and weekly release cycle.
Work within a test-driven development environment.
Refactor and enhance existing code to improve security, performance, maintainability and resilience.
Accurately assess and estimate development requirements and timelines.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall user experience.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts and business users in an international environment.
Keep up to date with emerging technologies, development practices and design trends.
Who You Are
2+ years of professional software development experience.Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
Strong experience with JavaScript and modern web development practices.
Good working knowledge of Java.
A basic understanding of HTML, CSS and LESS.
Experience with Angular would be highly desirable.
Experience with Apache Tapestry, or an interest and ability to quickly become proficient in the framework.
A degree in Computer Science or another relevant scientific discipline with programming experience, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
The ability to work effectively as part of an international and collaborative team.
