Troocoo is partnering with a key Queensland Government department to recruit multiple Project Managers across various levels to join its Preservation & Maintenance team, supporting the delivery of road infrastructure maintenance, rehabilitation and safety improvement projects across the Gold Coast region.
These opportunities will see you contribute to the ongoing improvement and safety of Queensland's road network, managing infrastructure projects from planning and procurement through to construction and completion.
The Role Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will oversee the delivery of road infrastructure projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with relevant engineering standards and contractual requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage the planning, design, procurement and construction delivery of road infrastructure maintenance, rehabilitation and safety projects.Oversee project budgets, expenditure forecasting, progress reporting and resource allocation.Manage tender processes, including preparation of contract documentation, tender assessment and contract award.Act as the Principal's Representative and/or Contract Administrator, overseeing contractor performance and contractual obligations.Provide technical engineering advice on design, construction methodologies, materials and project delivery challenges.Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, quality, environmental, safety and legislative requirements.Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors, consultants, internal teams and key stakeholders.Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and project delivery staff.
About You
We are seeking experienced engineering professionals across multiple levels, with backgrounds in road infrastructure delivery, civil construction and contract administration.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) registration – mandatory.Experience managing road infrastructure construction, maintenance or rehabilitation projects, including urban and high-speed road environments.Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, tender evaluation and contract administration.Demonstrated ability to deliver infrastructure projects within agreed scope, timeframes and budgets.Sound technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, road construction practices and relevant standards.Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors and technical resources.A commitment to workplace health and safety, quality assurance and achieving value-for-money outcomes.
