Base salary: $88,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience Build the next generation of fiber networks Ziply Fiber is seeking a Senior OSP Engineer to provide technical oversight for fiber projects across our expansion markets. You will review and quality-check our turnkey partner’s designs and completed work, validate constructability, resolve engineering and field issues, and help move projects from design through successful delivery. Required location and relocation This is a home-based role within an assigned market, not a work-from-anywhere position. The selected candidate must reside in one of the following markets: Minneapolis, MinnesotaLake County, IllinoisBismarck, North DakotaPhoenix, ArizonaReno, Nevada Candidates who do not currently reside in one of these markets must relocate and establish their primary residence there by their agreed-upon start date. Candidates who can relocate at their own expense are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance may be considered for qualified candidates based on business needs, required approvals, and company policy, but it is not guaranteed. Regular field travel throughout the assigned territory is required. Reliable access to a personal vehicle is required for business travel, with reimbursement provided according to company policy. What you’ll do Review OSP designs, HLDs, LLDs, cost estimates, and construction plansPerform QA/QC reviews of vendor designs and completed workValidate constructability, cable sizing, fiber counts, capacity, and scalabilityManage permitting and coordinate ROWs, easements, utilities, and joint-trench activityMaintain accurate cable records and as-built documentationResolve technical, field, permitting, and vendor-related issuesSupport project schedules, budgets, reporting, and escalationsGuide internal teams and external partners on engineering quality and standardsParticipate in preconstruction meetings and cross-functional project planning What you’ll bring Five or more years of OSP engineering, telecommunications project management, or fiber-design experienceThree or more years of experience with permitting, ROWs, and private easementsKnowledge of OSP design, cable-count layouts, capacity planning, and fiber infrastructureExperience with tools such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, QGIS, IQGeo, and Microsoft OfficeAbility to manage multiple projects, partners, and deadlinesHigh school diploma or GEDBachelor’s degree in engineering, equivalent experience, or at least five years of relevant OSP experienceValid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving recordAvailability to work regular Pacific Time business hours and occasional on-call, evening, or weekend hours as needed Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k); flexible spending account; paid sick leave and paid time off; parental leave; quarterly performance bonus; training; career-growth opportunities; and education-reimbursement programs.
