Overview
Conair is seeking an experienced DTC eCommerce Contractor for a 6-month assignment to help manage and grow the Cuisinart DTC business.
This role will serve as a hands-on DTC business operator, supporting the day-to-day management and optimization of Cuisinart.com.
The ideal candidate combines strong eCommerce business acumen with hands-on experience in website merchandising, promotional strategy and execution, DTC growth strategy, inventory management, forecast maintenance, owns business performance, content management, and Salsify, GMC, Bazaarvoice, SFCC experience.
This is a highly cross-functional role requiring someone who can identify business opportunities, translate them into action, execute within the respective platform, and measure results.
The contractor will work closely with Product Teams, Brand Marketing, Creative, Supply Chain, Development, Customer Service, and Finance teams to ensure Cuisinart.com delivers a strong customer experience and achieves its sales and profitability objectives.
DTC Business Management & Performance
Support the day-to-day operation and management of Cuisinart.com.Monitor daily and weekly business performance, including sales, orders, conversion, AOV, traffic, promotional performance, and product performance.Identify opportunities and issues impacting DTC sales and recommend actions to improve performance.Develop and maintain regular DTC business reporting and performance updates.Analyze business trends and provide actionable recommendations to DTC leadership.Partner with DTC leadership to execute annual, seasonal, and promotional business plans.Monitor competitive activity, pricing, assortment, and promotional strategies to identify opportunities for Cuisinart.Help establish and maintain a strong commercial cadence around what is selling, what is not selling, why, and what actions should be taken.
Promotional Strategy & Execution
Own and maintain the Cuisinart DTC promotional calendar in partnership with Performance Marketing and Brand team.Help develop promotional strategies based on business objectives, inventory position, seasonality, product launches, and competitive activity.Build, configure, and QA promotions, discount codes, pricing rules, bundles, and other promotional mechanics within SFCC.Coordinate promotions across site merchandising, email/SMS, paid media, and other marketing channels.Ensure promotional messaging, pricing, eligibility, exclusions, and timing are accurate.Monitor live promotions and quickly identify and resolve issues.Analyze post-promotion performance and provide recommendations for optimization.Support major events including holiday, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, seasonal events, flash sales, and product launches.Partner with Finance and DTC leadership to understand promotional impact on revenue, margin, and profitability.
Website Merchandising & Customer Experience
Own day-to-day website merchandising for Cuisinart.com.Manage product placement, category structure, sorting, navigation, search, and featured products.Optimize the site based on business priorities, customer behavior, inventory availability, and promotional strategy.Manage homepage merchandising, promotional modules, landing pages, category pages, and product discovery experiences.Develop and optimize cross-sell, upsell, recommendations, bundles, and related-product placements.Ensure new products and key seasonal products receive appropriate site visibility.Conduct regular site audits to identify broken experiences, outdated content, pricing issues, merchandising opportunities, and product availability issues.Partner with Brand Marketing and Creative to ensure campaign assets are properly implemented and aligned with the overall customer journey.Identify opportunities to improve conversion, AOV, engagement, and overall site experience.
Inventory & Assortment Management
Monitor DTC inventory levels, availability, and sell-through daily across Cuisinart.com.Partner with Supply Chain and DTC leadership to identify potential out-of-stock and overstock risks.Support inventory forecasting, replenishment, and allocation decisions.Identify products that should receive increased or decreased site visibility based on inventory position.Recommend promotional and merchandising actions to help manage inventory.Flag inventory discrepancies and partner with appropriate teams to resolve root causes.Ensure product availability and inventory messaging are accurately reflected on-site.
Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)
Manage day-to-day Cuisinart.com merchandising and storefront activities within SFCC Business Manager.Manage catalogs, categories, products, pricing, promotions, sorting rules, search, and merchandising configurations.Build and maintain promotional rules and discount codes.Manage site content and merchandising configurations within SFCC and connected platforms.Troubleshoot site and merchandising issues and coordinate with IT/development teams as needed.Perform QA for site changes, promotions, new products, releases, and seasonal updates.Ensure changes are tested thoroughly before and after deployment.
Content & Site Management
Publish on-site content including homepage content, promotional banners, landing pages, product content, category content, merchandising modules, and promotional messaging.Ensure content is accurate, timely, on-brand, and optimized for conversion.Partner with Brand, Marketing, and Creative teams to execute content strategies.Manage content calendars and ensure assets are delivered and implemented on schedule.Identify opportunities to improve product detail pages and other high-value customer touchpoints.Conduct ongoing content and site-quality audits.
Product Launches & Seasonal Execution
Support end-to-end DTC execution for new product launches.Coordinate product setup, content, imagery, pricing, inventory, merchandising, and promotional strategy.Develop launch merchandising plans to maximize product visibility and sales.Ensure seasonal and promotional changes are implemented accurately and on time.Coordinate launch readiness across DTC, Marketing, Creative, Supply Chain, IT, and Brand teams.
Analytics & Optimization
Monitor DTC performance and identify trends and opportunities.Analyze performance by product, category, promotion, traffic source, and customer behavior.Use analytics to identify opportunities to improve conversion, AOV, revenue, and product performance.Evaluate promotional effectiveness and recommend changes to future campaigns.Conduct basic site and merchandising analysis to identify customer experience opportunities.Turn data into clear, actionable recommendations for DTC leadership.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience in DTC eCommerce, digital merchandising, or eCommerce operations.Hands-on experience with Salsify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud / Business Manager.Experience managing an eCommerce website and executing day-to-day site merchandising.Experience planning and executing eCommerce promotional campaigns.Strong understanding of eCommerce KPIs including revenue, conversion rate, AOV, traffic, units per transaction, and product performance.Experience working with inventory and product availability in an eCommerce environment.Experience with content management and on-site publishing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects and business issues.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across DTC, Marketing, Creative, Supply Chain, IT, and Finance teams.Demonstrated ability to move from identifying an opportunity to executing the solution.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing a consumer products, kitchen, appliance, beauty, or home goods DTC business.Experience with Google Analytics / GA4 or other eCommerce analytics platforms.Experience with site search and merchandising platforms.Experience with email/SMS and digital marketing execution.Experience with SEO and product content optimization.Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.Experience with product launches and seasonal eCommerce campaigns.Experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or other enterprise eCommerce platforms.Experience working with PIM, DAM, or other eCommerce technology platforms.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on eCommerce operator who understands both the business and the technology.
They don't simply execute tickets; they should be able to look at Cuisinart.com and determine what is working, what isn't working, where sales are being lost, which products should be featured, what should be promoted, whether inventory can support the promotion, what site changes should be made, what should be tested, and what should be done differently the following week.
The successful contractor will be comfortable getting into SFCC and Salsify and making changes themselves, while also stepping back to analyze the business and recommend improvements.

Compensation
Conair has established a good faith salary range for this position.
The salary range reflects the Company's reasonable expectation for the role at the time of posting and is based on a variety of factors including business needs, market conditions, candidate qualifications, experience, skills, and internal equity.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60-$80/hour.
This is a 6-month temporary assignment for MLOA coverage.
Environmental Factors
This role is performed in a professional office environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, and using standard office equipment.
The position follows Conair's hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence at the Stamford, CT office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
