About
We are hiring an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to work within a dedicated infrastructure team.
The role is built around bare-metal and dedicated hosting infrastructure rather than cloud-native services, with a strong focus on Linux, networking and security across a large fleet of physical servers.
Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain Ubuntu Linux servers in production (systemd, logs, package management, processes, filesystems).Operate infrastructure across dedicated hosting providers and colocation data centres.Design, debug and maintain routing, DNS, firewalls and VPN connectivity.Diagnose and resolve physical server and hardware failures.Deliver secure infrastructure changes: patching, access control and secrets handling.Automate with scripting and configuration management (Ansible).Build and run monitoring and observability: metrics, dashboards, alerts and logs.Translate compliance requirements into practical infrastructure changes.
Requirements:
Hands-on production experience with Ubuntu Linux administration.Experience with dedicated hosting providers (e.g.
Hetzner, OVH) or colocation data centres (e.g.
Digital Realty / Interxion, Cyberlynk).Strong routing, DNS, firewall and VPN knowledge, including debugging.Experience with physical servers and diagnosing hardware failures.Ansible and scripting skills.Monitoring and observability experience.A security-minded approach to infrastructure change management.Fluent in English.
