About the Role
We are partnering with an international financial technology organisation that develops a regulatory reporting platform used by major financial services clients across the fund industry and beyond.
The platform automates the production of compliance documentation and processes tens of thousands of documents per cycle.
As regulatory requirements and client volumes continue to grow, the organisation is scaling its architecture to support increasing throughput, performance and reliability.
As a Lead .NET Software Engineer, you will take ownership of the platform’s technical direction while providing technical leadership across architecture, development, DevOps and production stability.
Key Responsibilities
Own the platform’s technical direction, from architecture and design through to production stability, performance and next-generation migration delivery.Guide and mentor a cross-site engineering team, including conducting code reviews, establishing coding standards and driving engineering excellence.Shape the DevOps culture, including CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, containerisation, alerting and deployment automation.Build high-performance, data-intensive backend services using C#/.NET and SQL/NoSQL to support complex regulatory document processing at scale.Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts and stakeholders to plan releases, manage technical risk and bridge the gap between engineering and business requirements.
Skills & Experience
Degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.7+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated experience in a technical lead or senior architect capacity.Strong proficiency in C#/.NET.Strong Azure experience, particularly with AKS, Service Bus and Application Insights.Strong SQL Server experience, including performance tuning, schema design and query optimisation.Experience with Entity Framework, Docker, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.Experience leading or mentoring distributed engineering teams.Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.A collaborative approach and genuine drive to share knowledge.Experience with Cosmos DB would be advantageous.Experience with document generation engines such as Windward or Aspose would be advantageous.Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design would be advantageous.Experience integrating AI tools into development team workflows would be an asset.
