Quality Engineer – Automotive | Brampton, ON We’re looking for a Quality Engineer to join a growing automotive manufacturing team in Brampton. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, working through real quality challenges, and having visibility with customers, suppliers, Production and Sales. The role will play an important part in supporting the company’s growing automotive business, including a major customer currently in safe launch. The successful candidate will be hands-on, technically strong and comfortable using data to make decisions. You don’t need to have the longest résumé in the market — the team is very open to an intermediate-level Quality Engineer who is motivated, communicates well and is ready to take ownership. What you’ll be responsible for: Owning and supporting automotive PPAPsSupporting safe-launch activities and customer requirementsReviewing and analyzing Cpk, Ppk, SPC and process capability dataWorking with APQP, PFMEA and Control PlansReading engineering drawings and working with GD&T and dimensional tolerancesWorking directly with customers on quality concerns and auditsSupporting supplier audits and corrective actionsPartnering with Production to investigate and resolve quality issues on the plant floorSupporting root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activitiesWorking cross-functionally with Quality, Operations and Sales What we’re looking for: Strong hands-on PPAP experienceAutomotive or transferable automotive-adjacent manufacturing experienceWorking knowledge of IATF 16949Experience with APQPStrong understanding of GD&T, tolerances and engineering drawingsExperience with Cpk/Ppk, SPC and process capabilityStrong communication skills and confidence working directly with customersA practical, data-driven approach to problem solvingSomeone who is comfortable being hands-on and working closely with the plant floor You do not need to come from an OEM or Tier 1 environment, and aluminum extrusion experience is not required. The team is focused on finding someone who understands quality, knows PPAP well, can communicate professionally and has the drive to grow with the business.
