Java Software Engineer

We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Java Back-End Engineer with a strong background in the Spring Framework and microservices architecture. In this role, you'll be a key player in designing, developing, and deploying robust back-end systems that power our cutting-edge applications. Experience with cloud deployments is a big plus! Responsibilities Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by following good practices and habitsDevelop, test and document Java-based software components in accordance with requirementsContribute to all stages of software development lifecycleIdentify and resolve any technical issue arisingWrite unit tests for robustness, edge cases and general reliabilityParticipate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related codeCreate design documentationPlan and support releasesSupport QA team to provide high qualityWork in a scaled Agile working environment Skills A minimum of 4-5 years of development experience within Java projectsGood understanding of various protocols: HTTP, TCP, SFTPGood skills in developing new REST servicesGood understanding of design patterns and SOLID principlesExperience with multiple application serversExperience with Spring, Hibernate and other Java frameworks /open source librariesExperience with SOA and Web Services (REST/SOAP)Good understanding of security protocols (SSL, TLS, certificates handling)Used with Agile development methodologies and tools: Jira, Git, Maven, Teamcity, Jenkins, Artifactory and other continuous integration toolsExperience with Kubernates, Openshift and DockerGoogle Cloud can be a plusExperienced with unit testing Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
