Job Title: Front End Software Development Engineer 1 Location: Dearborn, MI (Rotunda Center) Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days onsite per week Duration: 364 Days (~12 months) Job Number: 331966 Role Overview This is an entry-to-mid-level Front End Software Development Engineer role supporting the design and delivery of client-side and user-facing application experiences. The engineer will work closely with product owners, designers, and back-end developers to translate user needs into functional, visually consistent interfaces, while also contributing to prototyping, UI testing, and performance improvements. The role blends hands-on development with user-experience thinking, requiring comfort across the full front-end lifecycle from requirements gathering to production support. Key Responsibilities Partner with customers/stakeholders to understand use cases, pain points, and requirementsDesign, develop, and deliver front-end features using relevant tools, languages, and frameworksAlign development work with established architecture guidelinesCollaborate cross-functionally with product owners, designers, back-end developers, and architectsBuild mock-ups and prototypes; participate in UI design reviews and product demosPerform functional and UI automated testing to ensure qualityFix bugs and optimize application performanceApply cross-browser compatibility, SEO, and accessibility best practicesBuild interactive, brand-consistent user experiences, potentially using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular Required Qualifications Experience: 0–4 years of software development experience (Engineer 1 level)Bachelor's Degree required Technical Skills: Database - OtherPythonArtificial Intelligence & Expert Systems Preferred Qualifications HTML, CSS, JavaScriptReact or AngularUI/UX prototyping toolsAccessibility and SEO best practices
