Job Description Junior Oracle Infrastructure & Database Engineer Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland On-site, 5 days per week Due to the location and operational requirements of the role, candidates must be able to reliably travel to and from the workplace each working day. We're looking for a Junior Oracle Infrastructure & Database Engineer to join our team in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise Oracle platforms while developing skills across database administration, infrastructure engineering, cloud services and automation technologies. What You'll Be Doing You'll support the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Oracle platforms and their supporting infrastructure, gaining exposure to: Oracle Database AdministrationSQL and PL/SQL DevelopmentLinux and Windows Server SupportCloud Platforms including AWS, Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Automation and ScriptingPlatform Monitoring and Performance OptimisationInfrastructure and Operational Support What We're Looking For Basic understanding of relational databases and SQLExposure to Linux or Windows Server environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood communication and teamwork abilitiesA genuine interest in technology and continuous learningAbility to follow documented processes and operational procedures Desirable Skills Experience or exposure to any of the following would be advantageous: Oracle DatabaseSQL and PL/SQLLinux administrationPython, Bash or PowerShell scriptingBackup and recovery conceptsAWS, Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Git or other source control tools About You You'll be someone who is: Curious and eager to learnPositive, proactive and self-motivatedDetail-oriented and organisedComfortable working independently and collaborativelyInterested in developing expertise across databases, infrastructure and cloud technologies We recognise that skills and experience can be gained through a variety of routes, including education, apprenticeships, personal projects, military service, career changes and workplace experience.
