Description

The DevOps Engineer builds and maintains CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure, supporting reliable, automated software releases. What you'll do Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to support software releases. Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud. Automate routine tasks and deployments using Bash, Python or PowerShell. Support infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Manage source code repositories and support Git branching and code review processes. Assist with container deployment and management using Docker and Kubernetes. Monitor system availability, performance and logs, and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues. Collaborate with development and testing teams to improve release reliability. Apply security patches, manage access permissions and support secure handling of credentials. Support backups, recovery procedures and environment maintenance. Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployments and operational procedures. What we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 1-3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud operations, systems administration or a related role. Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps. Working knowledge of Linux administration and command-line tools. Basic scripting skills in Bash, Python or PowerShell. Familiarity with Git and version control practices. Understanding of Docker and containerisation concepts. Basic knowledge of networking, including DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP and firewalls. Strong troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills. Ability to learn new technologies and manage assigned tasks within agreed timelines. Desirable: exposure to Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools. Desirable: familiarity with monitoring and logging tools. Desirable: understanding of cloud security and access management. Desirable: relevant AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or DevOps certifications. Desirable: experience working in Agile development teams.
