Java Developer - 1639

We are looking for a Java Developer to join a major client in the banking industry, working on modern and scalable enterprise applications. Technical Skills Required: Java & Spring Boot 2+ years of experience in Java development and good knowledge of Java 17+.Experience with Spring Boot and familiarity with Spring Security.Experience with Spring Data JPA/JDBC and REST APIs.Familiarity with Spring AOP and Spring Batch is a plus. Security Basic understanding of authentication and authorization concepts.Familiarity with OAuth 2.0/2.1, OIDC and JWT/JWKS.Understanding of RBAC and ABAC authorization models is a plus. Messaging & Caching Experience with Apache Kafka / Spring Kafka is a plus.Familiarity with Redis and caching concepts. Databases Good knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.Familiarity with Flyway or Liquibase is a plus. Containers & Kubernetes Basic understanding of Docker and containerized applications.Familiarity with Kubernetes and deployment of Spring Boot services is a plus. Testing Experience with JUnit 5 and Mockito.Familiarity with Spring Boot Test and integration testing.Knowledge of Testcontainers is a plus. Software Architecture Understanding of basic software design principles and clean code practices.Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design and common architectural patterns is a plus.Interest in cross-cutting concerns such as authorization, auditing and data protection. Nice to Have: Experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) or Drools BRMS.Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault, Istio/service mesh and mTLS.Experience with ArchUnit, BIAN or API Gateway policy enforcement.Entra ID / Azure AD OIDC integration experience.Knowledge of GDPR, DORA or PSD2 in a technical context.Experience with core banking or financial services platforms. Preferred Qualifications: Good understanding of software development best practices and attention to quality.Ability to translate technical requirements into clean and maintainable Java code.Willingness to collaborate with architecture and development teams.Good communication and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative development.Good communication skills in Greek and English.
