Senior Quality Engineer (Data Platforms & Cloud) 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension) $65-$80/hr INC Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite (Downtown Toronto) Equitable Bank is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support the delivery of enterprise data platforms and cloud-based solutions. This role is focused on quality engineering, test automation, ETL validation, and data pipeline testing across Azure and Google Cloud environments. You'll work closely with data engineers, developers, and product teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across large-scale data platforms. Key Responsibilities Design and execute test strategies, test cases, and automated test frameworksValidate ETL processes, data transformations, and data pipeline workflowsPerform SQL-based data validation and database testingTest cloud data platforms across Azure and GCP environmentsExecute performance, integration, and regression testingSupport CI/CD testing processes and automation initiativesIdentify, track, and resolve defects across enterprise data solutionsCollaborate with data engineering and development teams to ensure data quality and reliabilityMentor junior team members and contribute to quality engineering best practices Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of Quality Engineering / QA Automation experience3+ years supporting enterprise data, data warehouse, or ETL environmentsStrong experience with ETL testing, data validation, and data pipeline testingAdvanced SQL skills for data quality and database validationExperience building automated testing frameworksHands-on experience with Azure and/or Google Cloud PlatformStrong knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and data integrationExperience with Python, Java, or SQL scriptingExperience working within Agile and CI/CD environments Preferred Technologies Microsoft FabricAzure Data Factory (ADF)Azure Synapse AnalyticsBigQueryDataflowDataprocCloud Composer (Airflow)Azure DevOpsJenkinsGit This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer with a strong background in data platforms, cloud technologies, test automation, and ETL validation to contribute to large-scale enterprise data initiatives within a leading financial services environment.
