(Vybe Network) Vancouver, BC (Hybrid/Remote) | Full-Time About Vybe Network Vybe Network is a Solana-native data and analytics platform, providing real-time and historical blockchain data across 45+ DeFi protocols. We power developers, traders, and institutions with high-throughput APIs, portfolio analytics, and on-chain intelligence — built on a production infrastructure processing millions of events per day. We're a small, fast-moving team. Everyone owns their work end-to-end, from design through deployment and ongoing operation. We're looking for an engineer who is comfortable with that responsibility and who thrives in a technically demanding environment. The Role You'll be a core member of the backend engineering team, owning and extending the systems that ingest, process, store, and serve Solana blockchain data at scale. This includes everything from raw on-chain event ingestion through ClickHouse storage and API delivery, across both real-time and historical data paths. You'll work closely with the team on system design decisions, contribute to production reliability, and take ownership of services through their full lifecycle. What You'll Work On Designing, building, and maintaining Rust-based services for high-volume blockchain data ingestion and processingManaging and extending our ClickHouse analytical datasets — tables, materialized views, data pipelines, query optimization, schema design at multi-terabyte scaleOperating and improving our Kubernetes/GKE production environment — deployments, scaling, rollouts, health, and troubleshootingBuilding and maintaining real-time and REST/WebSocket/gRPC APIs that serve both live and historical on-chain dataContributing to system observability — metrics, logs, tracing, alerting — and owning production incidents across the stackCollaborating on architectural decisions and bringing your expertise into technical discussions What We're Looking For Required: Strong hands-on Rust experience, specifically in production services with async/concurrent processing and performance-sensitive workloadsExperience designing and operating distributed, stateful, real-time systems — event ordering, retries, backpressure, recovery, and fault toleranceClickHouse proficiency — materialized views, refreshable materialized views, dictionaries, distributed/replicated tables, schema design, and query optimization at scaleSolid Kubernetes/GKE experience — confident managing production deployments, multi-pod services, secrets, rollouts, scaling, and troubleshooting running servicesExperience with streaming and messaging systems (Kafka, Redis Pub/Sub, gRPC, or similar event-driven patterns)Strong observability and production troubleshooting skills across ingestion, processing, storage, and serving layers (Prometheus/Grafana or equivalent)API design experience — REST, WebSockets, gRPC, and services that expose both live and historical dataAbility to take ownership of a service from initial design through production operation and ongoing improvementNice to Have: Solana ecosystem knowledge — accounts, transactions, tokens, slots, programs, RPC/Geyser data pipelines, and how on-chain events are transformed into application-level dataExperience in DeFi, blockchain infrastructure, or high-frequency financial data systemsFamiliarity with AI-assisted development workflows What to Expect A small, technical team where your architectural opinions matter and are acted onClear goals and roadmap visibility — you'll know what you're building toward and whyOwnership of your services from design to productionA fast-moving environment — we move quickly, but we care about building things that lastCulture harbouring team, it’s a small team so we all like to bring the best out of each other Compensation 135,000 - 160,000 CAD Competitive salary based on experience, equity participation, extended health benefits, and flexible remote/hybrid arrangements.
