Senior Software Engineer, Compute Platform & Cloud Infrastructure
Location: Greater Boston Area (Hybrid)
Compensation: $135,000 - $325,000 Base + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

The firm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Compute Platforms team, responsible for developing the foundational infrastructure that supports compute, workflow orchestration, messaging, AI, and observability capabilities across the organization.
This is a highly visible, hands-on opportunity to design and build large-scale distributed systems while partnering closely with research and engineering teams on business-critical platforms.
What You'll Do
Design and develop scalable compute, workflow, messaging, AI, and observability platformsCollaborate with research and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutionsLead architecture discussions and drive technical decisions for large-scale distributed systemsBuild cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and related technologiesDevelop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using TerraformCreate and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment processesPerform code reviews and mentor team members on engineering best practicesParticipate in production support and on-call rotations for critical platform services
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field8+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with Python or another object-oriented language4+ years designing and architecting large-scale production systems3+ years building distributed, high-performance applications3+ years developing cloud-native solutions on AWS or similar public cloud platformsExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized environmentsStrong CI/CD, DevOps, Git, and GitLab experienceHands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as CodeStrong understanding of data structures, algorithms, networking, operating systems, and system designAbility to work independently while collaborating across multiple engineering teams
