Most DevOps roles ask you to maintain what’s already there. This one gives you the opportunity to build it. Ingenio is partnering with an innovative Irish technology company operating at the intersection of AI, scientific computing and drug discovery to hire a DevOps Engineer. This is a hands-on builder role. You’ll help create the infrastructure that supports compute-intensive R&D — from CI/CD and containerisation to automation and observability. What you’ll do Build CI/CD pipelines from the ground upCreate and manage containerised environments with Docker/PodmanBuild monitoring, logging and alerting systemsAutomate infrastructure and engineering workflowsTroubleshoot and optimise Linux-based infrastructurePartner with the CTO and R&D team on architecture and scalability What we’re looking for 3+ years’ experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SREStrong hands-on experience with Docker, Docker Compose or PodmanProven experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or JenkinsStrong Linux fundamentals – shell scripting, networking, systemd and storageExperience with monitoring and observability, such as Prometheus and GrafanaInfrastructure-as-Code experience, ideally AnsiblePython scripting and automation skillsA self-directed mindset – comfortable building, troubleshooting and owning infrastructure end-to-end Why this role?
