Founding Engineer

Position: Founding Engineer Location: New York City – Onsite, 5 days/week Employment: Full-time Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. Role Overview: As one of the earliest engineers, you’ll help build an AI-native enterprise platform from the ground up and have significant ownership across product, architecture, engineering practices, and customer deployments. Key Responsibilities • Build customer-facing products across the full stack • Develop backend systems, data pipelines, extraction workflows, and integrations • Build frontend applications using TypeScript • Work directly with enterprise customers • Own projects from technical design through production deployment • Establish engineering standards and architecture • Use AI-assisted development tools and workflows • Debug complex production and distributed-system issues Required Skills • 3+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience • Strong customer-facing product development experience • Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Rust • Strong TypeScript experience • Experience with data pipelines, extraction systems, integrations, or data-intensive applications • Ability to independently design and execute technical solutions • Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools • Willingness to work 5 days/week onsite in NYC Preferred: Startup experience, AI agents/autonomous systems, payment systems, GCP/Terraform, enterprise customer experience, and strong distributed-systems debugging skills.
