Senior Automation Engineer

Hiring: Senior Software Engineer / Senior SDET Minneapolis, MN – Onsite 4 days/week (Mon–Thu), Friday Remote Contract: 10/1/2026 – 10/1/2027 Experience: 5+ years Interviewing: ASAP Top 3 Skills Web & Mobile Application Test Automation Java, Selenium, Microservices & Kotlin Hands-on Automation + Offshore Team Leadership Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, APIs, backend services, and end-to-end systems. Perform functional, integration, regression, reliability, negative, and performance testing. Develop automation using Java, Selenium, Kotlin and related testing frameworks. Test REST APIs, microservices, databases, messaging workflows, and distributed systems. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates. Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, services, devices, networks, and test environments. Develop software verification strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability, and audit-ready documentation. Collaborate with Software, Systems, Quality, Security, DevOps, Product, and UI/UX teams. Lead and mentor offshore automation/test engineers and drive automation best practices. Preferred Skills Appium, Playwright, Cypress, REST-assured JUnit / TestNG JavaScript / Kotlin Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps AWS / Azure and containerized environments SQL / MySQL / PostgreSQL Kafka, Amazon SQS, ActiveMQ Microservices and REST API testing Medical device or other regulated/compliance-driven environment Risk-based testing and requirements traceability Education: Bachelor's + 6 years OR Master's + 4 years of relevant experience.
