laiout is a fully automated architectural design tool for floor planning - generating custom layouts in seconds instead of weeks, while simultaneously delivering data on costs, carbon emissions, and efficiency. Clients already generate over 5 million m² of layouts every month, and growth is accelerating. We're now looking for a Frontend Developer to own the frontend of our browser-based design tool. About Us We're a team with diverse backgrounds rethinking how offices are designed. Backed by venture capital investors and global clients, we combine architectural insights with automation. You'll work with a small, technically sharp team on hard problems in visual editing, 3D layout generation, and real-time collaboration, with a focus on beautiful, efficient user interfaces. In short: Small team, hard problems, short path from idea to production. What You'll Do You'll own the frontend of our product: user experience, performance, and design consistency across a growing platform. You will: Improve and maintain our core frontend application, with a focus on quality, performance, and visual polish.Build and refine components in modern React (functional components), with a focus on reusability and composition.Work closely with our product team on UI/UX, and question design decisions when it leads to a better result.Work with TypeScript, Next.js, Mantine, and TanStack Query.Build clean, modular design systems that scale as the product grows.Work directly with our CTO and backend developers to make sure frontend and backend fit together cleanly.Bring ideas and feedback that improve the product end to end. Who You Are You're an experienced frontend engineer with strong technical skills, a good eye for aesthetics, and real empathy for users. You care about making software feel effortless to use. You're happy to own your area, and you're proactive rather than waiting for someone else to tell you what to do.
