Job Description
On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer / Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for a 5-month contract.
Candidates must be located in the Lower Mainland and available for hybrid work.
This role will support a custom solutions team focused on building, maintaining, and enhancing automated testing capabilities across enterprise applications.
The successful candidate will have strong software development skills, deep testing expertise, and hands-on experience building automation frameworks from the ground up.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and reusable testing solutions.Write, review, and maintain automated test code using C# and Visual Studio.Create automated UI, API, regression, and performance testing solutions.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.Debug test failures, investigate root causes, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.Develop and execute automated and manual test cases across multiple applications and integrations.Participate in test strategy development, test planning, and quality assurance best practices.Contribute to quality metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities.Support release validation, deployment testing, and production verification activities.
