Deployment Engineer

2 days/week onsite downtown Toronto 6 month contract with extensions JOB DESCRIPTION Overview Insight Global is seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that solve complex business challenges. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI, architecture, and consulting, requiring a hands-on technologist who can rapidly transform business needs into production-ready solutions. Responsibilities - Partner with business and technical stakeholders to identify AI use cases and solution opportunities. - Facilitate discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions. - Build proof-of-concepts and production-ready AI applications. - Develop solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, agentic workflows, and enterprise AI platforms. - Create APIs, integrations, and workflow orchestration patterns. - Partner with architecture teams to ensure compliance with security and governance standards. - Enable knowledge transfer and promote AI best practices across teams. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - 5+ years of software engineering, solution engineering, or AI engineering experience. - Strong Python development and API integration experience. - Experience with cloud-native application development and modern software architecture. - Hands-on experience with GenAI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG. - Strong consulting, stakeholder-facing, and communication skills. - Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate solutions. - Experience working in Agile environments. NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, or Microsoft AI ecosystem experience. - Experience building agentic AI applications and workflows. - Experience with vector databases, semantic search, and knowledge retrieval. - Cloud certifications (Azure preferred). - Financial services experience, with priority to Wealth Management or Insurance Domain.
