As a Software Developer Co-op, you will collaborate with our teams to support Semios in building the most integrated platform in Agriculture, developing the web applications that growers rely on to manage their farms on a day to day basis. You will get to work on a modern product codebase while getting experience with AI Harnesses, React, TypeScript, Node.js, REST and GraphQL APIs, automated testing, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. What you will do: Build and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces in React and TypeScript, working from designs and requirements alongside product and designUse AI toolsets to automate parts of the software development lifecycleContribute to our shared component library and help keep patterns consistent across the productWrite and maintain unit and integration tests, and participate in code reviews with the rest of the teamIntegrate front end features with backend services and APIs, handling real world concerns like loading states, error handling, and large data setsHelp diagnose and fix bugs reported by internal users and customers, tracing issues across the stackParticipate in agile ceremonies including stand ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, and ship your work to production through our CI/CD pipeline Requirements To be currently enrolled and working towards a post secondary degree that focuses on computer science, software engineering, or a related field, and registered in a recognized cooperative education program at a post secondary institutionStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong problem solving skillsCourse work or experience with TypeScriptExposure to a modern front end framework such as ReactCourse work or experience using Git and working in a shared codebasePassion for learning new technologiesA positive attitude and interest in learning about Agriculture Nice to have: Experience working in a cloud environmentExposure to Node.js, REST or GraphQL APIs, or SQL databasesExperience with Claude, Co-pilot or Chat GPT within the content of the Software Development Lifecyle Salary range: $20 to $24 per hour We publish a salary range to provide transparency and represent the full growth potential of the role; as a result, offers are made based on demonstrated mastery and experience and generally fall near the midpoint.
