Python/Django Software Engineer Location: Remote, with 1 to 2 days a month in LondonRate: £500/day Outside IR35Duration: 3 months initialSector: Central GovernmentMust be SC Cleared Overview We're looking for a Python/Django Software Engineer to join a central government programme. You'll build and improve digital services on AWS, working in a multidisciplinary team to deliver reliable, secure and user-focused software. Key Responsibilities Design, build and maintain web applications and APIs in Python and DjangoDevelop and deploy services on AWSWrite clean, well-tested and maintainable codeTake part in code reviews and help raise engineering standardsWork with product, design and delivery colleagues in an Agile teamSupport CI/CD pipelines and automated testingTroubleshoot and fix issues across development and live environments Key Requirements Strong commercial experience with Python and DjangoHands-on AWS experience covering services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3 or ECSExperience building and consuming RESTful APIsSolid understanding of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQLExperience with automated testing and CI/CDComfortable working in Agile delivery teams Desirable Previous central government or public sector experienceKnowledge of the GDS Service Standard and GOV.UK Design SystemInfrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormationDocker and containerised deployments Apply now or email dom@briodigital.io for more information
