Overview AWS DevOps Engineer Position Summary Adastra is looking for an Associate DevOps Engineer to join our AWS Practice and support cloud modernization, data platform, and migration initiatives. The role will focus on building and automating secure, scalable AWS environments, deployment pipelines, and cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code. You will work closely with cloud architects, data engineers, and application teams to support reliable deployments and AWS-based solutions Primary Location: Across Canada or USA Work Model: Hybrid 1-Day Onsite per Month Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Adastra Location: Toronto/Markham Responsibilities Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure, applications, and data workloadsAutomate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks using scriptingSupport cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including environment provisioning and deployment automationDeploy and support AWS services used in data platforms and analytics solutionsConfigure and troubleshoot AWS networking, IAM, compute, storage, and container servicesSupport monitoring, logging, security, and operational best practicesCollaborate with cloud architects, data engineers, and application teams Qualifications, Skills & Experience 2–4 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related roleHands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, and ECR/ECSExperience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation/CDKExperience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuildWorking knowledge of Docker and container-based deploymentsScripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShellGood understanding of Git, branching strategies, and deployment workflowsBasic understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, and least-privilege principlesExposure to AWS data services such as Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, DMS, or Step FunctionsAbility to collaborate effectively with technical teams in a consulting environment NICE TO HAVE Experience supporting cloud migration or data modernization projectsExposure to data lake or data platform architectures on AWSExposure to Kubernetes or Amazon EKSExperience with monitoring or observability toolsAWS certification such as Solutions Architect – Associate, Developer – Associate, or SysOps Administrator – AssociateExperience working in consulting or client-facing environments About Adastra Adastra is a global leader in AI and data-driven transformation, helping organizations lead with artificial intelligence—responsibly, strategically, and at scale.
