Role: Senior Salesforce Developer Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid) Mandatory Interview & Location Requirements Both first- and second-round interviews are face-to-face.Interviews will be conducted Wednesday or Thursday in Hartford, CT.Hybrid work is required: 1 day per week onsite or 2 days every two weeks. Position Overview The Connecticut Department of Children and Families (CT DCF) is seeking two Senior Salesforce Developers to support existing custom Salesforce applications and contribute to the development of CT-KIND, the department's next-generation child welfare information system. The selected candidates will work throughout the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and production support. Developers will also collaborate closely with the system integrator on application support, knowledge transfer, and ongoing enhancements. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain Salesforce applications and custom solutions.Develop using Apex, Lightning Pages, and Visualforce.Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns to create scalable and maintainable solutions.Configure Salesforce applications and develop SOQL queries and CRUD functionality.Analyze business and technical requirements and support application integrations.Participate in requirements validation, technical design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and production support.Create and maintain technical and application documentation.Collaborate with CT DCF teams and the system integrator for knowledge transfer and application support.Independently manage assigned development tasks from requirements through implementation.Mentor junior and less experienced Salesforce developers.Troubleshoot application issues and provide ongoing production support.Required Qualifications 10+ years of overall relevant software development experience.5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Apex.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.Experience with:Salesforce Lightning PagesVisualforceSalesforce ConfigurationSOQLCRUD operationsExperience with .NET object-oriented development.Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).Strong SQL experience.Experience with end-to-end web application development.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with technical teams.Preferred Qualifications Experience with JavaScript frameworks.Experience with C# and Microsoft .NET Framework.Experience developing and integrating Web Services.Experience working in Agile development environments.Knowledge of responsive design patterns.Previous experience supporting public-sector applications.
