Department Summary: The Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering Center is seeking an Associate Cloud Developer with a desire to work on innovative advanced approaches and technologies to solve our sponsors’ most critical technological problems. In this role you will provide hands-on support to critical customer problems in cloud computing, DevOps and/or software development. In addition, you will have an opportunity to work in several specialty fields with information technology to include Infrastructure Applications, IaaS, PaaS, Cloud Computing (including OS & Application virtualization, platform migration, server consolidation, utility computing, and grid computing. Roles & Responsibilities: Developing and deploying full stack web applications (on prem and cloud)Using Infrastructure as Code to manage commercial cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Modifying and improving existing systems, applications, and codeWorking as part of a team of engineers to solve difficult technical problems (on prem and in the cloud) Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.A passion for technology and a desire to learn.Applicable internship(s) in the fields of Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and/or Software Development.Experience with modern software languages (Python, Go, Javascript, Java, Typescript, etc).Exposure to working on commercial cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Experience using Version Control Systems, specifically Git.This position has an on-site requirement of 3 days a week minimum.
